Vegan Service Announcement: “ichoc” White Chocolate Review

The milky bars are on us, kids.

When I became vegan I didn’t consider the things I’d miss, but after a while I started to crave those foods that so many suffered to create. I have tried pretty much everything, from bacon to cheesecake, and mostly I’ve been impressed.

Last Christmas I tried my first vegan white chocolate, and I’ll try to be nice, it was disgusting. Since then I accepted I wouldn’t ever have white chocolate ever again. However, tonight I come to you with a vegan service announcement. White chocolate is back on the cards my friends, and it is fabulous.

I would put my money on it tricking even the keenest chocoholic. If you haven’t tried it already, then head down to your nearest ‘health’/ ‘vegan’/ ‘eco-friendly’ shop and pick up a bar. We paid £2.69 each from our local store, and each bar is 80g. It is a little pricey compared to some brands, but they have their formulation spot on. In my eyes it is well worth it if you know someone or you yourself are missing the joys of white chocolate.

It is creamy, light on the tongue, and jus tweet enough to satisfy that sweet spot! I’m no foodie, I’m really terrible at reviews  I’ve learnt, but boy oh boy, this was amazing. If it was possible, I’d marry this chocolate, it is divine.

Tonight’s post has deviated from the plan, but from my first bite I just knew I had to share it with you all. I’m not being sponsored by ‘ichoc’ – how I wish I was, I can just imagine endless supplies of chocolate…

Sorry, you lost me there for a moment. Where was I? Oh yes, this post is simply due to my wonder at this chocolate. Also I can now confirm their Almond Orange bar is equally delicious.

We didn’t pick up a bar of their Cookie chocolate due to palm oil/fat in their ingredients, obviously this isn’t just a vegan issue. It is an ingredient we strive to cut out, but this doesn’t mean we by any means condemn others who don’t, being a processed food lover can be tricky enough in the vegan world, so we understand that a move like that can make things even trickier. It’s a choice we’ve made, and it’s helping us to be a little bit healthier, so we can’t complain! I hope to write a post on the issue in the future to go more into depth, so if you have any questions, hang tight!

Thanks for stopping by tonight. I hope you’re having a wonderful week.

With love from your BFF Vegan.

  1. That looks amazing! I’m not vegan myself but i’m rubbish with dairy products so i may give this chocolate a go!
Also know this is going to sound extremely dippy but does it still have that milky taste?

    1. It does for me! Although I haven’t had cows milk in over a year now so I can’t truly recall what it tastes like. From memory, this is very close to milky bar 😄
